are really hard on me. I do so well during the week with my eating and exercising, but once Friday rolls around, I’m too relaxed about it. This needs to change.

I got side tracked today with random things and didn’t make it there earlier, and I was not going to go all together when I just threw on my gym clothes and went. I had an hour before the gym closed but I beasted my work out! ran at a 6.0 pace for 25 minutes (best I’ve ever done!!), then some squats & lunges, a bit of arms, and then the arc trainer for a 10 minute cool down.
you know the post that says “the only work out you regret is the one you don’t do?” SO TRUE. i’m super super glad I went!
my eating today was a bit weird:
got up around 10:30 and was meeting a friend for lunch at 11:30, so I had a banana and then at the diner I had a veggie burger (just the patty with some ketchup), and half a cup of french onion soup. we sat and talked for like 2 hours, so then I went to visit my dad and was with him for about another 2 hours. When I came home I had some triscuits with goat cheese and by then it was like 5oclock, so I wasn’t super hungry for dinner.
I noticed myself walking around the kitchen looking for food, craving SOMETHING, but then I told myself : “You’re not really hungry, don’t eat if you don’t need to.” so then I just made myself some green tea!! very proud of myself.
so I really haven’t had dinner yet… my friends want to go to Applebees for half-off appitizers, and I feel bad saying no, so I already looked the menu ahead of time and planned out my meal. I don’t usually eat so late, but with the meal at Applebees I’ll only be at 1264 calories for the day! not bad if you ask me… so since it’s a good number I don’t feel too bad about eating at 10 :/ though I try not to make it a habit.
I hope you all had wonderful days!!! tomorrow is St. Patricks day and my mom made Irish Soda Bread, can’t wait! also, my sister is home from California tomorrow so we’re getting sushi for lunch :)
edit: i realized i say ‘so’ a lot… it’s annoying to read. i’m going to fix that.

of yesterday and what’s on schedule for today:
yesterday I did really well!
B: one egg, two egg white omelet with peppers (red&green), onions, tomatoes, and one slice of toast
L: raisin bran with .5 cup of 1% milk
D: went to my friends house and her mom made a delicious meal! wasn’t sure calories or anything, so i stuck to one serving of : chicken topped with tomatoes, onions, cheese; mashed potatoes; arugula salad; small piece of corn bread; and for dessert I had strawberries even though she brought out ice cream.
S: banana
GYM: 35 minutes on treadmill, weights, 15 minutes on bike as a cool down
over all i think yesterday went pretty well. i’m pretty sore today from yesterday and tuesday’s work out, so I’m gonna take it easy. i’m going to the mall to return a few things that were too big (yay!!) and i might exchange for a new pair of jeans that fit :)
I’m gonna go for a run later, but probably not weight train to give my muscles a day of rest. also, i didn’t let myself get up today until i finished the water bottle on my night stand :)

I see a lot of posts about the 30 day shred, and I think I’m going to try it tomorrow..
can anyone tell me what to expect? I’m going to be adding this to my gym routine, so I’m wondering if there’s anything I should keep in mind while at the gym? (certain routines that the 30 day shred does that I can skip at the gym, not going to hard because fatiguing, etc)

I made myself a schedule last night and it seemed to work pretty well, though I think waking up at 9am on Spring Break is a reach, so instead I snoozed until 10am.
got up, had my banana and a tall glass of water then headed to the gym. did 30 mins on the treadmill, including the 5 minute cool down walk, I hit 2.6 miles. then I did some lunges and squats, then some arms! felt very good to be at the gym.
then came home and made myself half a cup of oatmeal with coconut & chocolate chips (super yummy!!)
for lunch I made myself a strawberry salad with goat cheese (also super yummy!)
so I was debating on what to have for dinner, and I was thinking about tomato soup and a grilled cheese, but my brother had made a Digiorno’s pizza, and I caved and had some of it. I had two slices, and I’m still 83 calories away from my goal!
other than some pizza, overall it’s been a good day :) and I gave myself 416 extra calories from exercise! I’ll probably have a small snack later, but nothing too bad :)
